Metal MTB Garage is run by Ben, a bike mechanic based in Branxholm, less than a 10-min drive away from the world-famous Blue Derby Mountain Bike trails.

Ben is a highly experienced MTB mechanic and Metal MTB Garage offers a full suite of service options from a basic tune up, gold level service to advanced repairs.

Metal MTB Garage offers a fly in / fly out service if you arrive in Derby with your bike boxed. You can relax while your bike is unboxed and built up, ready for you to explore Derby by the next day. Once you are finished riding, you can sit back while your bike is washed and packed up for your journey home.

Metal MTB Garage also offers a wide variety of spare parts for hire if the unfortunate happens, and you want to get back on your bike as soon as possible.

If you haven’t ridden your bike in a while or would just like it to be given a once over, I can make sure it is ready for you to tackle Derby.

Suspension Service

Do you need your fork or shock serviced or adjusted to suit your weight? I can service anything Fox, Rockshox or DVO.

About Our MTB Garage

I, Ben, have been riding, working on and living for bikes since I was sixteen. I looked at various locations in Tasmania where a mechanic was needed the most. After living in Derby for six months, a great location in Branxholm came up for me to open a workshop, where I could run it as I wanted to. The North East area was also in need of someone to do suspension servicing and repairs. I always pride myself on attention to detail and bike setup to give the rider the best experience on their bike.
